Eddie donates his Olympic torch

Da Angelo has been given a very special gift from Eddie Westburgh: the 2000 Sydney Olympic torch that Eddie carried through the streets of Hobart.

If you don’t know Eddie, he’s an elite Tasmanian ultra marathon runner who has been dining at Da Angelo for the past 30 years! Now in his nineties and still going strong, Eddie has led a fascinating life and his story can be found on the Association website.

It is wonderful that this important item of local sporting history will be available for the community to admire.
